Hello
A little bit about me
I am a passionate culture builder, strategist and organizer. I work with communities, organizations and clients to bring their values into reality. I am a naturally curious and reflective listener.
My passions include ecology, sustainability, agriculture, faith-based organizing, Indigenous solidarity and land return, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, ethical interior design, cooperatives and democratic decision making.
As a life long learner, I prioritize projects that combine values-alignment with tangible efficacy. I want to make a material difference in the lives of individuals and communities in the areas I care most about!
Background
A little bit more about me
I grew up on 12 acres of Nisenan-Mewuk land in the Sierra Nevada Foothills in Northern California in a house built by my parents. I am named after my maternal great-grandmother Sarah/Sadie/Surah who immigrated with her Jewish family from Eastern Europe to New York and my paternal great-great-grandmother Leona who live in Louisiana and was of Western European Christian settler descent.
I currently live on Lisjan, Ohlone land in the S.F. Bay Area. I hold an undergraduate degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems and a minor in Gender Studies from UC Davis. In 2021, I completed my Masters of Social Change at Starr King School for the Ministry. I am a community organizer, have taught at the graduate level and have over ten years of experience working for values-driven non-profits.
