I began working with the lino cut art form in 2014 at the UC Davis craft center. The images for my lino cuts come from dreams, scenes and fantasies.
I learned how to do tapestry weaving at the 2019 Passover in the Desert from Jerry Falek. It had been a dream to learn to weave in honor of my ancestors and now I enjoy feeling their hands in mine.
While I may never know exactly how my ancient ancestors adorned themselves, I can re-imagine and re-create their aesthetic styles through using beads and styles of the lands where my people are from.
